Alingss is a Municipality in Vstra Gtaland County, in western Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 476.7 km. Of the total population of 35,153, 17,197 are male, and 17,956 are female. The population density of the community is 74 inhabitants per km.
The city of Alingss received its privileges in 1619. It has a population of 22,030 (1996). The city is situated along the Western Railroad (Vstra stambanan) between Stockholm and Gothenburg. Among its historical inhabitants is Jonas Alstrmer, mostly famous for bringing the potato to Sweden in the 1700’s.
Arboga is a Municipality in Vstmanland County, in central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 324.2 km. Of the total population of 13,870, 6,912 are male, and 6,958 are female. The population density of the community is 43 inhabitants per km.
The city of Arboga is known to have existed in the late 1200’s and during the medieval period it was one of the most important cities in the kingdom. The first parliament of Sweden (Riksdag) was held in the city in 1435. The city has a population of 11,430 (1996). Today the city is a communication centre since highways E18 and E20 merge here and the Mlar Railroad (Mlarbanan), between Stockholm and Hallsberg runs through the city.
Arvika Municipality is a Municipality in western Sweden, where the City Arvika is the seat with a population of 14,000. It is situated 80 km north-west of Karlstad.
Geography
The city Arvika is situated at Kyrkviken, a bay of Glafsfjorden, Swedens only inland fjord, a remnant of the ice age, when the area was close to the sea. The area is hilly with the highest hill Storkasberget close to the city.
Arvika and its surroundings has good water infrastructure, and through a system of canals, lake Vnern can be reached, and from there Gta kanal opens a passage to Gothenburg and the sea.
A part of the town named Haga was once designated worker quarters.
History
Ten kilometers west of the city, in Bergs Kltt, there are remnants of a younger Stone Age and Bronze Age settlements in the form of graves.
The city was historically only a village until 1811 when it was given city privileges under the name Oscarsstad in order to improve the economics of the area. This attempt was unsuccessful, and the city privileges were withdrawn in 1821 and the village was instead given the status of market-town (kping) and renamed Arvika. The city privileges were not returned until 1911, and the name Arvika was kept.
Askersund is a Municipality, in rebro County, in central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 820.7 km. Of the total population of 11,530, 5,778 are male, and 5,752 are female. The population density of the community is 14 inhabitants per km.

The city of Askersund received its privileges in 1643, but was regarded a town already in the 14th century. Today it has a population of 4,150 (1996). Askersund was planned to be the site of one out of two supply fortresses to Karlsborg Fortress, which was constructed in the 19th century. The city is located in the northernmost bay of Lake Vttern.
Avesta is a Municipality in Dalarna County, in central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 615.0 km. Of the total population of 22,735, 11,179 are male, and 11,196 are female. The population density of the community is 36 inhabitants per km.

The city of Avesta received partial privileges in 1641 as a town under the city of Falun. However they were withdrawn in 1688 due to criticism and rough competition from its neighbour towns and did not retrieve them until 1919. Today the city has a population of 16,070 (1996). The city’s southern part Krylbo is an important railroad junction between the Hallsberg – Avesta (Krylbo) and the Avesta (Krylbo) – Mora lines. The city is mostly famous for its steel mill owned by the Avesta-Sheffield company.
The most successful sport team in Avesta is their speedway team Masarna, translating to “the men of Dalecarlia”, competing in the highest division in Sweden.
Boden is a Municipality in Norrbotten County, in northern Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 4296.7 km. Of the total population of 28,679, 14,121 are male, and 14,558 are female. The population density of the community is 7 inhabitants per km.
The city of Boden started as a railway junction on the Northern Line (Norra Stambanan) and received its privileges in 1919. The city boosted when the Boden Fortress, the very strong border fortification, was constructed in the beginning of the 20th century. Today Boden still houses the largest garrison of the Swedish Army.

Bollns is a Municipality in Gvleborg County, in east central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 1827.1 km. Of the total population of 26735, 13238 are male, and 13497 are female. The population density of the community is 15 inhabitants per km.
The city of Bollns received its privileges in 1942 when the towns of Bollns and Bjrkhamre merged. Today it has a population of 13,490 (1996). Bollns is a station along the Northern Railline (Norra Stambanan) but has never served any higher purposes more than as a centre of trade for the surrounding lands.
Borgholm Municipality is a Municipality in Kalmar County, in south-eastern Sweden, located on the island of land in the Baltic Sea. Its seat is located in the town of Borgholm (pop. 3,500).
The town is situated some 20 kilometres north of the land bridge which connects the island with the city of Kalmar.
History
The city of Borgholm is the main city and seat of Oelandia, but has always been one of the smallest cities of Sweden. The city received its charter in 1816 and emerged as a spa-town in the shadow of the ruins of the ones so mighty Borgholm Castle, which burned down in 1806. So important and magnificent was this castle, that it has become the city arms, and the ruins is the best known attraction in the municipality.
The city has served as centre of northern Oelandia, and remains one of the most popular summer cities in Sweden. Despite its small size the city centre is quite urban, with a grid-net of streets and many shops, restaurants and hotels.
Borlnge is a Municipality in Dalarna County, in central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 586.4 km. Of the total population of 47206, 23675 are male, and 23531 are female. The population density of the community is 81 inhabitants per km. Borlnge suffers from a relatively high crime rate.
The city of Borlnge received its privileges in 1944 after several smaller towns merged. Today a population of 40,880 (1996) makes Borlnge the largest city in Dalecarlia, even larger than its northern historic neighbour Falun located a couple of kilometres away. Together the two cities form a region with close to 100,000 inhabitants.
Borlnge has always been an industrial town surrounding the iron mill of Domnarvet and the paper mill of Kvarnsveden. The city has two state authorities: the department of rails (Banverket) and the department of roads (Vgverket). Suitable for a city which structure is severely divided by rails and roads, without any real city centre.
The city has a previously successful football team, although currently in a free fall through the series. IK Brage, named after the Norse god of poetry, has a history of 18 seasons in the Swedish Premier Division (Allsvenskan). Brage play in green and white and host their home games at Domnarvsvallen Stadium in Borlnge with a capacity of 14,000 seated.

Bors Municipality [bu’ro?s] is a municipality in western Sweden, where the city Bors is the seat of government. The population of the municipality is 97,000; of these 62,000 live in the city.
History
The city of Bors received its privileges in 1622.
Bors is located at the point of two crossing railroads, among them the main railline between Gothenburg and Kalmar, and is often considered the Swedish city gaining the most from the nationwide railway system laid between 1870-1910.
Industry
Bors is the leading textile city of Sweden, starting as a location spot for textile mills. It currently holds the Swedish record in number of established mailorder firms. The city arms depicts two scissors as a tribute to this.
Sports
The most successful sports team is the football team IF Elfsborg, founded in 1904 but receiving its current name in 1906. The teams home arena is since 2005 Bors Arena (formerly Ryavallen Stadium) in Bors, with a capacity of 15000. Elfsborg play in black and yellow. Another (but not that succesful) team is BHC, Bors Hockey Club..
