The Seine is one of the greatest river of the world. It seperates paris in to the rive gauche-left bank and rive droite -right bank. Its starts from the burgundy region and travels through troyes vatal regional trading post up to and including the middle ages. In paris the river surrounds the lio de la cite the island cradle of french civilization that it helped protect from invading huns and norseman. From the paris besin the seine enters the normandy region making great loops at it heads toward roven after roven the river takes a few more north to south turns before reaching its mouth at the city of le havre and combining with the water of the english channel.

Parc is a fine product of a late twentieth century landscape design competition. The only way to really grasp the magnificence of the Notre-Dame cathedral and towers and view it in its entirety is to catch a glimpse of it from a bridge across the Seine. The size and scope of this almost 800-year-old church are inspiring, the two towers stretching to reach the sky above the main entrance to the cathedral.

The Tavignano starts high in the mountains in the north west of the island, also over one third of its length the river is not touched by road or track. The river enters a small gorge section just above the vecchio confiuence raising the grade level to an eassh the only major tributary to join the tavignane river. The river is presumably similar to the neighbouring restonica which is well worth a visit. The water is probabely slightly less exciting then the golo but the scenery more rural and plesant.
