Daingean is a small town in County Offaly, Ireland. The town was the county town of the King’s County, as the county was once called, and this priviledge remained until the eighteenth century when it passed to Tullamore. The Grand Canal of Ireland passes through the village. Once the stronghold of the O’Connors, it was briefly named Philipstown, for Prince Philip during the reign of Mary I of England.

Dingle (An Daingean Mór in Irish) is a growing town in County Kerry in the Republic of Ireland, on the Atlantic coast some 50 km west-south-west of Tralee and 80 km west-north-west of Killarney. The town is situated on a natural harbour below Slievanea mountain on the large Dingle peninsula, which lies south of the River Shannon and north of the Ring of Kerry.
Principal industries in the town are tourism, fishing and farming. In 2002 Dingle had a population of 1,828 (CSO census). Dingle is situated in a Gaeltacht region.

Tullamore (Tulach Mhór in Irish) is a large town in County Offaly, Republic of Ireland, located in the midlands region of Ireland, with approxiamately 15,000 inhabitants. It is the county town (main administrative town) of County Offaly a priviledge previous held by Daingean. Tullamore is a major commercial and industrial center in its geographical area. It was designated a 'Gateway' town in late 2003 by the Irish Government, meaning it will receive extra infrastructural investment. Unfortunately it had the misfortune of being named Ireland's dirtiest town by a recent national survey - something the locals deeply disagree with.
