Baile Tusnad : Romania

B?ile Tu?nad (Hungarian: Tusndfrd?) is a town in Harghita county, Romania. It lies in the southern part of the former Szkely county of Cskszk.

The town and the surrounding area are famous for their spas and mineral waters. Nearby is the famous volcanic crater lake, the only one of its kind in Romania called lacu Sfntu Ana or Szent-Anna t in Hungarian. It is an important site of cultural importance for the Szkely people.

The population of the town is 1,728 of which 1,615 (93,5%) are Szkely Hungarians. (Census 2002)
