Mioveni is a city in Arge? county, Romania, near the city of Pite?ti. As of 2002, it has a population of 35.849.
It was first mentioned in a written record in 1485. It developed much in the 1970s after the Dacia car manufacturing plant was built nearby. There is also a Nuclear Research Institute in the city that builds nuclear reactors.
